Nazism
Nazism is usually characterized as a form of governmental system led by a dictator having complete power, forcibly suppressing opposition and criticism, that includes scientific racism and a certain hatred toward Jews. Germany stood under control of Adolf Hitler and the Nazi Party from 1933 to 1945, this period of time is called Nazi Germany. Before Nazi Germany, there was the Weimar Republic, the name given to the parliamentary republic established in 1919 in Germany to replace the imperial form of government. Few would have thought that the Nazi Party, starting as a gang of unemployed soldiers in 1919, would become the legal government of Germany by 1933. The thing is that the Nazi weren't only the cruel, soulless, powerful people who dictated Germany, they had a beginning and an end, and in between they also created many things on which we are based on today.
